Rice’s DH group has rebooted semesterly showcase and meetup events! These events are meant to build community and provide a platform for initiating, continuing, or showcasing key conversations around DH at Rice and in the communities that surround us. The format of these events involve connection time over food, one to two speakers, Q&A, and facilitated conversation. We remain curious about what our DH community needs most and so conversations around effective tools, existing knowledge gaps, and the specifics surrounding better faculty and student support will take center stage. The Rice DH group is comprised of Fondren Library staff and a host of faculty, students, and friends of Rice.

We advertise these events on several listservs but the Rice DH Mailing List is our primary list.
